The very talented 29-year old actress Natalie Portman was given the lead role in the new 3-D sci-fi drama, Gravity after senior-actress, Angelina Jolie had allegedly pulled out of the project.

But nothing has been signed yet between Portman and Warner Bros, and the film company is under stress to at least provide an actress for the role whether the contract pushes through with Portman or not. The lead actor for the film, Robert Downey Jr., is set to film two projects by the end ofJanuary, Sherlock Holmes 2 and The Avengers, which is why Warner has to  start shooting.

The $80 million film, is being directed by Alfonso Cuarón (Children of Men, Y tu mamá también), is a survival story about a woman who is stranded on a space station and her attempts to return home to Earth. The role was previously turned down by Angelina Jolie, rumors say  Scarlett Johansson and Blake Lively are after Jolie’s role.
