The 23-year old Russian and three-time grand slam singles champion, Maria Sharapova is believed to have gotten engaged last Tuesday as sources reported to TMZ. Engaged to who?  To none other than 26-year old, Los Angeles Lakers’ Slovenian guard, Sasha Vujacic.

TMZ reported:

Sources tell TMZ the pair — who were first spotted holding hands about a year ago — got engaged Tuesday after Sasha popped the question at his home in Manhattan Beach, CA.

Maria’s already been spotted out wearing the ring — we’ve seen it and trust us … even Vanessa Bryant would be impressed by the future Mrs. Vujacic’s ginormous diamond.

These are really two tall couples people. Maria stands at 6-foot-2 inches and Sasha is 6-foot-7.

Maria’s current ranking is no. 18, she used to rank no. 1 back in August 2005. But all is well, all is well. Sasha is her new title.

He is also known as “The Machine” but Sasha suffered a concussion in practice last week.
