Anaheim, California – What an exciting edition it was for UFC fans, and MMA enthusiasts, the aftermath will live in the minds of those who have witness an explosive and bloody takeover in the Heavyweight division.

The result, was overwhelming.

Brock Lesnar, the defending champ lost to a barrage of blows from the powerful challenger Cain Velasquez. Who would’ve thought of a title changing hands in this division in UFC 121? Almost everyone, expected the same outcome from the Lesnar vs Carwin match. I thought Lesnar was going to take the punishment and extend the fight to round 2, but the referee Herb Dean had to stop Velasquez’s violent onslaught to save Lesnar’s other cheek, or whatever that was left defenseless against Cain’s heavy fists. Cain opened a huge cut on Brock’s left cheek, big enough for a truck to drive through.

Though the crowd, obviously comprised of too many Latinos booed the ex-champ, you’ve got to hand it out Brock. He didn’t disappoint. In fact, Brock never disappoints. Flying knees, a few takedowns and punches of his own were bold offensive attacks as well, it made the witness thought of what Brock was thinking, “Here comes the pain…”

But after the ref cleared the smoke, 28-year old Velasquez stood tall.

“I expected nothing less,” said the former champ, Lesnar. “He’s a great fighter. What can I say? He was better than me tonight.”
