Pepsi Center – The Los Angeles Lakers are driven to improve to 9-0 on the season and the Denver Nuggets will rally to tally a win in their 4-4 record.

The Nuggets lost big time against Indiana the other night, the game ended 113-144. Their ace Carmelo Anthony registered 14 points and Ty Lawson, the second year man out of North Carolina, scored 19 points coming off of the bench. This is their second straight loss.

The Lakers had a close-call road game against the Minnesota Timberwolves last Tuesday, 99-94.

“You want to go back and try and figure out what you can do better,” Lakers coach Phil Jackson said after the win in Minnesota. “It’s not so much as a stopping point. We’re going to have losses, we know this is a long season. We know we are going to have losses”
