The Heat (22-9) and Lakers (21-8) are doing great this season, their standings alone will light up your living room. Though the last time the Heat scorched the Lakers on Christmas day was back in 2004, Miami is 2 players stronger with Lebron James and Chris Bosh.

Miami has won an impressive 13 out of their last 14 games, while the Lakers snapped a 5-game winning streak at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks last Tuesday.

Dwayne Wade, who suffered from a clash of knees with Dallas Mavericks’ point guard Jason Kidd is expecting to play later even though his knee remains swollen and a bit stiff.

“My plan is to play,” Heat’s Wade said. “I’ll continue treatment and therapy but having the luxury of resting [Thursday] … was beneficial to me playing.”
