The Philippine Azkals are set to match against a much tougher Kuwaiti soccer team. Despite the underdogs that they are, the dogs are confident they can out-goal the Blues, banking the team will be playing in top condition.

“I’m quite content,” says Azkals coach Michael Weiss. “I think the boys are now counting the hours towards the match. As they say in England, it’s a massive match. It will give us an idea where we stand and I’m quite positive we can do well if we play the way we want to play.”

The Ph team may prove handicapped without Stephan Schrock, the 24-year old who has proven his worth against Sri Lanka, he will be sidelined along with Aly Borromeo for the first leg. Both players received a yellow card.

The Asian Football Confederation endorsed the Philippine Football Federation’s appeal to FIFA to rescind the suspension on the two. Either way, Schrock has a match (Shrock plays for a german team) this Saturday, and his services won’t be available for the dogs.
