Whether he’s in the ring, in his home and soon, inside jail, undefeated five-division world champion Floyd Mayweather is also loudmouth king.

In the recent phenomonal rise of American-Taiwanese Jeremy Lin to basketball stardom, here’s what the olympic-style drug testing number one fan and endorser had to tweet last Monday afternoon.

Jeremy Lin is a good player but all the hype is because he’s Asian. Black players do what he does every night and don’t get the same praise.

The jealousy stems from Lin scoring 89 and 109 points in first three and four career starts, respectively the most by any player since the merger between the American Basketball Association and the NBA in 1976-77. He has become the first NBA player with at least 20 points and 7 assists in his first four starts becoming the Eastern Conference Player of the Week after averaging 27.3 points, 8.3 assists and 2.0 steals in those four starts with the Knicks going undefeated even in the absence of Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire (Wikipedia). Sorry Floyd but the hype is pretty much backed up with numbers and not race.

Didn’t Mayweather say similar lines about the popularity of Filipino boxing champ Manny Pacquiao?

Lin credits his success to playing without pressure. “I’ve surrendered that to God. I’m not in a battle with what everybody else thinks anymore,” said Lin.

It seems Floyd is continuously in battle with himself and his ego is just as invincible as his defense strategy. Oh come on Floyd, give Lin and us Asians a fare shake.
