In London, the second match for NBA’s pre-season games, NBA Champs, the Los Angeles Lakers fell prey to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Wolves came up with 111-92 in their favor. The top scorer for Los Angeles Lakers was Lamar Odom, finishing with 17 points while for Minnesota Timberwolves, it was Martell Webster with 24 points.

A scoreless Kobe Bryant was barely seen on the court in this exhibition game (6 minutes playing time), and it was no surprise, since, well, the game wasn’t serious enough for the talented and competitive nature of the reigning NBA finals-MVP.

Talking about how the Wolves played, “Minnesota looked great. We looked like we just got off vacation,” said Lakers coach Phil Jackson.

“I think we surprised everybody tonight,” said Forward Michael Beasley, who was the No. 2 overall draft pick in 2008 and who was dealt by Miami in the offseason. “I don’t think anybody thought we would win. It shows our work ethic and our character. That’s what we’re here to show this year.”
