Who’s eluding who? I don’t see Floyd Mayweather Jr. on Manny Pacquiao’s updated hit list for 2012. Superfight or no superfight, the 8-division champ always gives a good show, well almost.

Top Rank CEO and Promoter Bob Arum will fly to the Philippines to meet up with the People’s champ to discuss possible matches for this year.

“I’m going to the Philippines on January 8, and I should be there on January 10. I’m going to shortly, thereafter, meet with Manny,” Arum said in RingTV.com.

“We’re going to be offering Manny four potential opponents - [Miguel] Cotto, [Juan Manuel] Marquez, [Timothy] Bradley and [Lamont] Peterson,” he continued.

Miguel Cotto who recently displayed much improvement in punishing and defeating Antonio Margarito says he can beat Pacquiao this time, claiming he has a better strategy now. Cotto took a beating and the referee had to stop the fight before the 12th round ended in November 2009.

Juan Manuel Marquez, whom Pacquiao has faced three times may get his fourth match. The first match ended on a draw and the last two tallied a defeat for the Mexican. Marquez will want a huge amount money if negotiations push through.

Timothy Bradley, WBO’s light welterweight champ is still undefeated and will be a very interesting opponent.

Lamont Peterson last month, just defeated the very talented but loud mouth Amir Khan.

So who’s who in May/June? I say go for Floyd because the Pacman isn’t getting any younger.
