The Phoenix Suns just beat the Los Angeles Lakers 118-109 to  cut the series lead of the defending champs by one game, 2-1. Game 4 will remain homecourt advantage for the Suns who look to even out this best-of-seven series.

Amare Stoudemire gives an amazing performance, silencing his critics. He ended with 42 points, matching his career playoff high, and grabbed 11 rebounds to give the Suns’ first victory in this conference finals. Robin Lopez added 20 points.

“You can never question my determination,” he said, “my focus, my dedication. That’s one of the reasons I’ve persevered through injuries and continue to try to improve every summer. My dedication to the game is at an all-time high.”

Kobe Bryant gave an all-around performance, scoring 36 points, dishing out 11 assists and getting 9 rebounds, a rebound short for a triple double stat. Pau Gasol helped with 23 points.

Stoudemire left the stadium with a bandage over a cut he got when his goggles hit his forehead on a drive to the basket.
