Honda Center, Anaheim, California will host the battle of gladiator-athletes this Saturday (it’ll be Sunday morning for half of the world) . The main event will feature former WWE Superstar turned MMA Monster-star, Brock Lesnar, defending his title against Mexican-American Cain Velasquez.

“The Next Big Thing” Lesnar, fought against fellow american Shane Carwin back in July. The wrestler was in trouble and ill-fated in the match until an arm triangle choke came handy to submit the winning Carwin. Almost exactly a year before that, a much anticipated rematch between Brock and Frank Mir, saw Brock avenging his first loss in UFC via TKO in the second round, successfully defending the UFC Heavyweight Championship belt which he took from Randy Couture in November 2008. Lesnar beat “the Natural” with a barrage of punches during the second round.

Standing two inches short of Lesnar, Velasquez, started out a year earlier in the MMA world. His stats almost similar to Lesnar’s. He’s been averaging 2-3 fights a year and boasts 8 wins with no losses. He punches his way to victory and has end four matches in the first round alone.

After UFC President Dana White and Tito Ortiz kissed and made up in July of 2009, Ortiz is back in the UFC ring. After the Ortiz-Shamrock 3 in October 6, the “Huntington Beach Bad Boy” has been whipped in sequential order by: Lidell, Lyoto Machida and Forrest Griffin. How bad can Ortiz beat up Matt Hamill? I dunno, Hamill has an impressive record himself.  Standing an inch below Ortiz, Hamill is also less experienced. He has almost the same style as Ortiz. Ortiz has the edge on this match, Hamill has been dealing with inferior fighters.

Watch UFC 121 this weekend. We’ll keep you posted.
